Cryomation wins that Shell award

Richard Maclean (Cryomation), Duncan Macleod (Shell) & Mike Morris-Watson (Cryomation)

Congratulations to Cryomation on winning a Shell Springboard climate change innovation prize -a notable vote for this new process, a worthy rival to cremation.

Don't know what Cryomation is? Check out their website here.

Thanks Charles - I know the process but now looked at their site for the first time.

Again, I suggest that anyone who really cares about humanity's future as humanity (and not fleshy robots) reread "Brave New World":

"Why do the smoke stacks have those things like balconies on them?" enquired Lenina?

"Phosphorous recovery. On their way up the chimney. Phosphorous used to go right out of circulation everytime they cremated someone. Now they recover over ninety-eight% of it. More than a kilo and a half per corpse." Henry spoke with a happy pride. "Fine to think we can go on being socially useful even after we're dead. Making plants grow".

Congratulations Mr. Maclean and Mr.Morris-Watson - humanity owes you one!
